The reason why I can t learn capacitors

I understand that as a capacitor charges, the amount of electrons that are deposited on one plate increases, thereby the overall voltage across the capacitor increases. And I kind of understand that because of that, the rate at which 1 coulomb of charge flows in the circuit starts to fall because of this.

Why exactly do capacitors charge and discharge exponentially?

I understand that as a capacitor charges, the amount of electrons that are deposited on one plate increases, thereby the overall voltage across the capacitor increases. And I kind of understand that because of that, the rate at which 1 coulomb of charge flows in the circuit starts to fall because of this.

Help me find the reason why my capacitors burned

Re: Capacitor is burnt, why? You have to think that, once the capacitor is fully charged (when the sinosoidal or half-sinusoidal voltage given by the transfo output, past the rectifier diodes, have reached it''s peek), the current comming from the transfo will basically stop, and it''s the capacitor that is feeding the current to the circuit.

DC current through capacitor

The reason is that current can pass through the capacitor, but charges cannot jump from one plate to the other. Electric charge is still moving into one side of the capacitor, and moving out of the other side (a current is flowing), but no particles are actually crossing the gap; they are building up on one plate and depleting off of the other ...

Why are PC motherboards covered with many large capacitors?

The reason for this is a that these converters typically require a largish capacitor at both the input and output (or perhaps several). There are so many DCDC converters because motherboards take in +12V and then locally convert it into the many voltages required by the CPU, memory, I/O ports, etc.
